Lake Winnipesaukee - just 10 minute drive from one fo the best places to visit in New England.

Ossipee Lake — swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing right in town

Ossipee River — good for fishing and a casual paddle

HIKING:

Mount Ossipee / Ossipee Mountains — a volcanic ring formation unique to New England, with several trails offering great views

Green Mountain (Effingham) — a moderate hike with a fire tower at the top and panoramic views

Chocorua Lake & Mount Chocorua — one of the most photographed mountains in New England, about 20 minutes away; trails range from moderate to challenging

Abenaki Tower - located just outside of Wolfeboro with a tower at the end to have breath-taking vistas of Lake Winnipesaukee.

Parks & Nature Areas:

White Lake State Park — beautiful white sand beach, swimming, camping, and a nice nature trail around the lake; very close to Ossipee
